Makeup from 1920's. Pretty simple and plane. Not to much

Makeup from 2014. Much more eye makeup. Lots of lipstick.

Over all, we have put more makeup on our faces to hide our faces.

Electronics in 2014. Everything you need in the palm of your hand.

Electronics from 1920's. Not touch screen, nothing really complicated. 

Over all, we have progressed with electronics. Then you had to push buttons to call, now all you have to do is tap the screen.

Clothing from 2014. Vary short and different patterns and colors.

Clothes from 1920's. mostly all 1 color, long, and no high heels.

Over all, we have stopped using as much fabric to make the clothes now than from the 1920's.

Music from the 1920's. Colors do not look really clean or bright.

Music from 2014. Colors are sharp, more skin showing.

Over all, the 1920's made their music cover more interesting, now they just put whatever they want.

Hair from 1920's. One color, not color treated, and nice looking.

Hair from 2014. Hair is color treated, used electronics to style it.

Over all, hair then was plain and simple. Now it has chemicals to make it look nice and use electronics to style it.

Clothing was more conservative in the 1920s, though, it may not have seemed like it then.

  Modern styles are vastly different and wide-ranged.

At this time, cars were just starting to be built.


Cars are sleeker and work better with more features.

Movies weren't as fancy or advanced as modern times.

Movies use a lot of special effects now.

Girls bobbed their hair mostly.










There are a large selection of styles now but exotic colour is very in.


















Music was a lot of jazz.
Now, a lot of music is made with computers.

During the 1920's the number of registered cars was over 15 million, this was due to the efforts of Henry Ford. The number of registered vehicles in 2013 was 247 million.

Food

                                      

A&W Root Beer was the first fast-food chain, they began selling burgers and soft drinks in the 1920's. Now you can find multiple fast-food chains almost everywhere in the U.S.

Music

                                    

The 1920's was known as the "Jazz Age" due to the popularity in jazz. Now people listen to different varieties and genres of music like pop, hip-hop, and country.

Clothing

                   

Women in the 1920's wore shorter dresses that were knee-length or higher by 1927. Clothing styles have changed and clothing such as skinny jeans have reached popularity.

Electricity 

                                                         

In the 1920's, the company General Electric offered products such as toasters, vacuum cleaners, coffee pots, irons, and ovens. Today we still use these products but many more have been introduced like cellphones and tablets.
